IL Dept of Natural Resources (IDNR) Resource Trunks in the Classroom 4 PM - 6 PM

When a field trip to the natural history museum just won’t work out, the IDNR Resource Trunks offer a great alternative. Each trunk has a theme, such as Illinois Fossils, Mammals and Birds, (to mention a few) and is filled with books, videos, artifacts, posters, and activities. During the workshop, Riverton High science teacher, Sandy Kennedy, who has borrowed several of the trunks, will share ideas about how they can be adapted for use in a 6 -12 classroom. Val Keener, Administrator, Division of Education IDNR will also be on hand to discuss the great resources offered by the IDNR.
